“John has built solid and productive relationships at the French Film Commission, the Culture Ministry and City Hall.”

Headed by the distinctly British John Bernard, whose previous career highlights includes guiding Tony Scott into Morocco on « Spy Games », setting up the action sequences for multiple Bond movies and as well accompanying Jeremy Thomas and Bernardo Bertolucci through North Africa on «Sheltering Sky» and into Nepal and Bhutan on «Little Buddha». Finally co producing with them The Dreamers in Paris, a strong liaison was built with Peninsula Film based out of Paris to provide Production Services thoughout all of France.
During the past decade, John has built solid and productive relationships at the French Film Commission, the Culture Ministry and City Hall, resulting in a perfect understanding of the French tax credit system and more importantly, how best to apply it.

Please note that Jake Productions skills are not limited to big budget Hollywood productions : In the past 2 years alone we’ve produced 3 low budget independant movies, including James Toback and Alec Baldwin’s must-see movie financing documentary « Seduced and Abandoned » , Richard Shepard ‘s « Dom Hemingway » and the Dowdle Brothers latest horror movie for Legendary Pictures.

John Bernard has arguably established himself as today’s leading go-to-guy for any US or British production considering a shoot in France.
